Bay Guesthouse is located on the North West coast of St Lucia. St Lucia Facts and figures: Population: 160,000 at last count (1995) Geography: Approx 27 miles in length and 14 miles wide at its longest points and with a land area of 238 sq. miles. The highest point is Mt Gimie at 3117 ft high Language: Officially English with a French based Patois commonly spoken. History: Fought over 14 times between the French and English. Given independence by the British in 1979 although still within the British Commonwealth.
